RESTORE YOUR SMILE WITH A SINGLE IMPLANT

A single dental implant is an ideal solution for replacing a missing tooth. It provides a permanent, stable and natural-looking replacement that restores both function and aesthetics to your smile.

What is a Single Dental Implant?

Implant Post: A titanium screw that is surgically placed in the jawbone to act as a root for the new tooth.

Abutment: A connector placed on top of the implant post to hold the new tooth.

Crown: A custom-made tooth that matches the shape and colour of your natural teeth, placed on top of the abutment.

Benefits of a Singe Dental Implant:

Natural Appearance: Mimics the look and feel of a natural tooth.

Durability: Offers a long-lasting solution with proper care.

Bone Preservation: Prevents bone loss by stimulating the jawbone.

Improved Function: Restores normal eating and speaking abilities.

Comfort: Fixed securely in place, unlike removable dentures.

RESTORE YOUR SMILE WITH MULTIPLE IMPLANTS

If you are missing several teeth, multiple dental implants can provide a reliable and natural-looking solution. This advanced treatment restores both function and aesthetics, giving you a complete and confident smile.

What is a Multiple Dental Implant?

Multiple dental implants involve the placement of two or more titanium posts into the jawbone, which serve as secure anchors for dental crowns, bridges, or dentures. These implants prove a stable foundation for replacing multiple missing teeth.

Benefits of Multiple Dental Implants:

Stability: Provides a secure and stable fit for dental prosthetics.

Enhanced Function: Restores normal chewing and speaking abilities.

Comfort and Convenience: Fixed in place and eliminates the discomfort of removable dentures.

4 implant overdenture

A 4 implant overdenture involves the placement of four titantium implants into the jawbone. These implants serve as stable anchors for a removable denture, significantly improving the fit and stability compared to traditional dentures.

all on 4 dental implants

All-on-4 dental implants involve the placement of four titanium implants into the jawbone. These implants act as a solid foundation for a full arch of prosthetic teeth, offering a fixed and durable alternative to traditional dentures.

Ideal candidates for a 4 Implant Overdenture or All-on -4 Dental Implants:

  • Are missing most or all of their teeth.
  • Have sufficient jawbone density to support the implants
  • Are in good oral and overall health.
  • Are committed to maintaining good oral hygiene.

GENERAL IMPLANT PROCESS

STEP 1

INITIAL CONSULTATION

During your first visit, the dentist conducts a comprehensive oral examination then will refer you for a complete CBCT scan. This scan allows us to determine if there is sufficient bone to support the dental implant/s.

STEP 2

PLANNING

After studying the CBCT scan the team carefully plans your treatment. We develop a personalised treatment plan that includes various options for moving forward. A second consultation is scheduled to discuss the proposed plan in detail, answer any questions you may have, and help you choose the best option. Once a decision has been made, we will schedule the implant placement surgery.

STEP 3

IMPLANT PLACEMENT

On the day of the surgery, the dentist will place the dental implant/s into your jawbone under local anaesthesia. The procedure is meticulously performed to ensure optimal positioning and stability. About two weeks after surgery, you will return to us for the removal of sutures (stitches) and to check your healing progress. The healing period typically lasts between 8 to 12 weeks, allowing the implant to integrate with the bone.

STEP 4

IMPLANT CROWN PREPARATION

Once the implant has successfully integrated, you will come in for an appointment to prepare for the implant crown. During this appointment impressions (moulds) and other necessary measurement will be taken to ensure a perfect fit. This information is then sent to a dental laboratory where your custom crown will be fabricated.

STEP 5

IMPLANT CROWN INSERT

After approximately 15 working days, your custom implant crown will be ready. You will return to us for the final placement. Your dentist will ensure the crown fits perfectly and functions just like a natural tooth. They will make any necessary adjustment to ensure that you are completely happy with your new implant.

STEP 6

RESULT

Your satisfaction is our top priority. We will also provide you with instructions on how to care for your implant to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. By following these detailed steps, we aim to provide a seamless and comfortable experience for our patients undergoing dental implant treatment.

hAve more questions?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium that are surgically placed into the jawbone. They provide a strong foundation for fixed or removable replacement teeth designed to match your natural teeth.

Most people who are missing one or more teeth and have sufficient bone density are good candidates for dental implants. Good oral hygiene and general health are also important. A thorough evaluation by our dentist will determine if dental implants are the right option for you.

Dental Implants offer numerous benefits, including improved appearance, speech, comfort, and self-esteem. They also provide better oral health, as they do not require altering nearby teeth. Additionally, implants are durable and can last many years with proper care.

The entire dental implant process typically takes several months. This includes the initial consultation, implant placement surgery, healing period (8-12weeks), and placement of the final crown. The timeline may vary based on individual healing and treatment needs.

The imlant procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so you would not feel pain during surgery. Some discomfort or swelling may occur after the procedure, but we will be with you every step and provide with all you need. We suggest you take the day off which will help with the healing process.

Caring for dental implants is similar to caring for natural teeth. Brush and floss regularly, and visit us for your routine check-up every six months or otherwise instructed.

While dental implants have a high success rate, there is a small risk of failure which is increased by factors such as poor oral hygiene, smoking, certain medical conditions (e.g diabetes), or loss of supporting bone structure. Regular dental visits and proper care are essential to minimize this risk.
